Join us on a captivating tour as we cruise along the Northern coast of Malta, taking in the stunning views of St. Paul’s Islands and Mellieha. Upon reaching the sister island of Gozo, you’ll board a bus for a visit to the island’s capital, Victoria. Originally named Rabat, the city was renamed Victoria in 1897 by the British government in honor of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee. Despite the official name change, locals still often refer to it by its original name.
Situated on a hill near the center of the island, Victoria has been inhabited since Neolithic times. At its heart lies The Cittadella, a historic fortified city, also known as The Citadel. Recognized by UNESCO as a potential future World Heritage Site, The Cittadella is a small yet significant fortified town. Here, you’ll find an old prison, the Courts of Justice, and other historical sites. You’ll have approximately 75 minutes to explore this fascinating area. On the way back to the port, we’ll pause briefly at Qala Belvedere for some breathtaking views.
In the afternoon, the tour continues to the famous Blue Lagoon, where you’ll have time to explore the island and swim in its tranquil, turquoise waters.
The boat departs from Sliema Ferries at 10:30 AM and returns at 6:30 PM, and from Bugibba Jetty at 11:30 AM, returning at 5:30 PM.
