Ta’ Randi started off being a few rooms spread on 2 floors, which were used as a resting place for locals coming from the South of Malta. Their horses were stabled on the ground floor rooms, whilst they rested on the floor above. During World War 2, the site also served as a shelter. Records also exist of a stone factory which was in operation after the War. When the stone factory closed, the premises were utilised as a school and later on became a private residence, until it was inaugurated as a restaurant in 1987.
